Using Your Recycled Hardwood Productively

Hardwood is the costliest flooring option available all over the world. While other flooring options are soon picking up, they cannot match the elegance of hardwood. It is quite evident that people still choose hardwood flooring when they have good budget. However, it becomes a tough choice when your hardwood flooring has to be replaced. When the flooring loses its shine or it is broken at places, your heart gets broken too. You have spent a lot of money and you don’t want to waste every bit of it. It is now possible to recycle the flooring and use it for other purpose.

Hardwood for furniture

If your hardwood flooring is not in a condition to be used as flooring, you can use it to make furniture. All you need to do it uninstall it and check how much part can be reutilized. You have to have a vision of how the parts can be reutilized in order to make furniture. You don’t have to be a carpenter to make the imagination come true. You can have your own ideas. Furniture made of hardwood looks really good and they are durable too. If you have good woodworking skill, that would be an extra advantage. The used hardwood can provide a rustic look to the furniture and that can be a real good addition to your home.

There are several recycled wood furniture design that you can search on web. Cabinets are best made with hardwood. At the same time, you can make coffee tables and all such things with the hardwood that is extra.

Hardwood for Wall Décor

The recycled hardwood can be used for several other artworks. People make a lot of wall hanging with wood that is not in use. You can color it in the way you want and can use it as a wall décor. There can be other frames made from the hardwood of the floor. Just use your imagination and you are good to go.  You can use your own ideas or check out several all décor to make your own wall décor stand out.

Make Toys With Hardwood

You can ask your carpenter to make some toys with the extra hardwood that you have. These toys can serve as good home décor for any home. Simple toys for kids can also be made with the wood. Color them well and they will be quite durable. These toys are eco friendly too and can be used by kids without thinking of any health hazards. Color them bright and the kids will love to use them.

Partition with Hardwood

You can divide a space of your room to two separate spaces with the hardwood floors remains that you have. Arrange them in proper order to create a separate space. This can be used as a changing room or just to separate two areas. With the changing life style space is getting scarce. It is thus quite important to utilize the space that you have. This can be done quite well with recycled hardwood flooring.

In the end, it is your hard earned money and you don’t want to waste it. You have spent a fortune to meet your hardwood flooring needs. They have also served you for a long period of time. However, you can get more out of the same and you shall be making the best use of the recycled hardwood. Whether it was used for flooring or anything else, the wood does not loss its value. It will still add value to your home if you know how to use the remains productively.
