Benefits of Solid Hardwood Finish

red hr line

People are going to wooden floors at a larger scale for their homes. However, there are those who are still reluctant to try these wonderful floors. They consider that the floors are expensive compared to other floor types. Getting a wooden floor with a solid hardwood finish has its advantages. These include the following.

  • Getting a hardwood finish for your floor gives your home a rich style. Hardwood floor finishes are considered to have a timeless appeal that never grows old. Also, the scent of polished wood is more appealing to visitors.
  • When wooden floors are properly taken care of, they age gracefully, and their appearance looks better over the years unlike the case of using carpets that have to be replaced after a few years.
  • Hardwood floor finishes are considered one of the most durable flooring solutions available. They last for many years and do not need to be often replaced.
  • Hardwood floors are the healthiest floors available in the market. They are organic and are not electromagnetic meaning they do not attract dust or any known allergens including mold. People with allergies are advised to go for hardwood floor finishes in their homes as they are helpful in managing their allergies. They also do not provide breeding grounds for parasites making them hygienic.
  • When a heavy object falls on the floor, the floor is less likely to suffer from any damage. When heavy objects fall on engineered or laminated floors, on the other hand, there is a high chance that the floor will crack or break.
  • Laying the hardwood on the floor is also relatively easier compared to installing other floor finishes. The hardwood is thick, and this makes it easier to manage slight variations in the height of the floor. Less thick laminates make it difficult to manage these variations.
  • The floors are also easier to maintain compared to having carpets. The floor is easy to clean and does not stain easily. The floor also acts as a good medium to install underfloor heating that is useful for homes, especially during winter. The floor distributes heat evenly on the floor and can maintain the heat while the home is getting warm. Other floor products are considered to be colder than hardwood that has a warm feeling to it.

When it comes to getting floors, you should consider getting wooden hardwood finishes and enjoy these benefits that it offers. Getting a hardwood floor is considered as a good investment that is worth the price.
